To make a perceptual comparison of capacity.

1. Teaching aids :

Three paper cups of the same size
Three bowls of the same size
A large container of blue coloured water.



2. Teaching activities:

1. Hold up the three paper cups.
2. Ask the students to tell the similarities between the three paper cups.
3. Introduce the vocabulary of empty, half full and full.
4. As you introduce the vocabulary, have students come out to fill the cups accordingly.
5. Have students arrange the cups in the order from empty to full.
6. Repeat with different sets of container
